DESCRIPTION:The Asociación Española de Ciencia Avícola\, (Spanish branch of WPSA) would like to invite you to the 16th European Poultry Congress (EPC) in Valencia. The EPC will probably be the biggest event in poultry science in 2024. \nAlthough Europe only accounts for 10% of the world total in number of inhabitants\, our old continent is very densely populated. The correct feeding of this population poses many challenges: balanced diets for people with different needs\, food safety\, animal welfare\, economic\, environmental\, social\, and cultural sustainability are concerns of our society. In this way\, the efficient use of resources\, the smart farming\, the commitment to renewable energy\, the local production and the quality of the products are very positive contributions that the poultry science can make to the European society. \nThe scientific committee of the EPC is preparing a high-level scientific program with the best keynote speakers focusing the major concerns of the European society and the poultry sector\, but also a program for the exchange of scientific experiences between researchers. The multidisciplinary approach of the conference is the best way to discuss the latest scientific findings and work on a practical application. \nThe EPC will also have a space for the commercial exhibition\, as well as satellite conferences for the scientific diffusion of the most active companies in the European poultry sector. \nAll this without forgetting that we are in Valencia\, a city that offers excellent cultural\, gastronomic and leisure options with an exceptional climate. The event featured 40 specialized sessions\, practical workshops\, and networking opportunities\, catering to a growing industry that supports sustainable practices in the region. \nHosted at the Kigali Convention Centre from October 2-3\, with a Leadership Conference preceding on October 1\, the event saw record-breaking attendance and engagement\, underscoring its growing significance as a key platform for advancing the future of African animal protein production. Over the course of the trade show\, industry professionals\, thought leaders\, local youth and innovators came together to exchange knowledge\, build partnerships\, and showcase the latest trends and developments in animal husbandry and agricultural scene. \n\nA Platform for Industry Leaders\nVIV Africa 2024 saw strong participation from industry leaders\, with over 200 key decision-makers from Africa and the global agri-food space attending the event. The Leadership Conference\, a major highlight of this year’s program\, featured presentations from over 50 thought leaders and facilitated important discussions on issues such as global expertise and local practice\, investment opportunities\, and sustainable solutions in future trends. \nKeynote speakers included international experts\, from organizations such as the Traide Foundation\, the World Poultry Science Association\, Rabobank from the Netherlands\, Dutch Poultry Center\, Dutch Greenhouse Delta the Global Dairy Farmers and more. SUMMARY:Australian Poultry Science Symposium 2025 (Annual event\, 36th edition)
DESCRIPTION:The Australian Poultry Science Symposium (APSS) is the premier avian science conference in Australasia and attracts delegates from right across the country and around the World. Each year (usually in February)\, APSS is collaboratively organised by the University of Sydney – Poultry Research Foundation and the World’s Poultry Science Association – Australian Branch\, with an organising committee also assembled to include key industry stakeholders. The symposium is renowned for is vast array of industry relevant science and also for the excellent opportunities it affords the next generation of poultry scientists. \nAPSS 2025 will be the 36th edition of the symposium\, and will be held at a new venue\, The University of Sydney – Abercrombie Business School. Our organising committee has again elected for the event to remain exclusively FACE-TO-FACE again next year\, however we continue to explore the possibility of offering a virtual recorded version\, which would be released at the conclusion of the conference\, allowing anyone who could not attend the in person to review the presentations and discussions. \nThe official scientific program will commence from lunch-time on Monday\, with check-in for the event opening from 9am Monday morning. This allows delegates time to fly into Sydney on Monday\, attend to emails/business calls pre-event and also socialise prior the symposium opening. Morning tea and lunch will still be included for all delegates on Monday. It is also important to note that due to the midday start on Monday\, our contributing authors will be presenting through to late afternoon on Wednesday. \nThe over-arching theme of APSS 2025 will be: “Enhancing productivity through resilience”. The symposium will of course feature another extraordinary group of local and international invited speakers\, hand-picked by the organising committee\, to provide their extensive insight into the most import and on trend topics within the poultry industry. As always\, we invite researchers from far and wide to submit and present a large range of scientific papers\, loaded with industry-relevant content and cutting edge research. Our extraordinary social program will include: Mentoring Meet and Greet\, Monday Night BBQ & Poster Session and Tuesday Night Symposium Dinner. These events\, coupled with generous lunch and tea breaks\, provide our delegates with amazing networking opportunities over the 3 day event\, something which APSS is also renowned for.
