ECPLF 2028, the 13th European Conference on Precision Livestock Farming, ECPLF 2028, will be hosted in Leuven, Belgium 🇧🇪.

After more than 15 years travelling across Europe, from Bologna to Nantes, from Prague to Cork, the ECPLF is returning to the very place where it all began, Prof. Tomás Norton announced.

It was in 2013 that Leuven last opened its doors to the PLF community, when the 6th ECPLF was organised by the M3-BIORES team at KU Leuven under the leadership of Prof. Daniel Berckmans, the man widely recognised as the spiritual father of Precision Livestock Farming, and the founding mind behind both the EA-PLF association and this conference. That lab didn’t just host the ECPLF. It gave birth to the PLF field itself.

Fifteen years later, the torch is passed, and in the best possible hands. Prof. Tomás Norton, who now leads the PLF research line at M3-BIORES (Measure, Model & Manage Bioresponses, KU Leuven), presented the winning proposal to the EA-PLF Board, selected among a number of strong bids from teams and cities across Europe.
